Mandala Towering

Mandala is a building momentum tower soaring 75 feet in the center of Makassar. In this monument there are also many kinds of relief and dioramas about the struggle of the liberation of West Irian. Visitors also can see the expanse of Makassar from the heights.

Mandala towering monument with a height 75 meters from the ground. Construction began in 1994 and completed in 1996, to commemorate the struggle of freeing the people of Indonesia in West Irian from the hands of colonialists. The building consists of four floors.

On the first floor there are dioramas and replicas of clothing relief and community struggles in South Sulawesi XVII century. In two laintai there diaroma and reliefs that tell about the struggle of the liberation of West Irian.

While on the third floor there is a replica of the Commander's office Mandala, complete with a map of West Irian, photographs troop departure preparations, signs of office, and used clothing at Mandala operations.

While on the fourth floor is a space where visitors view can see the atmosphere of the city of Makassar from the heights. This space at the end of the tower with a height of about 73-75 meters from the ground.

Mandala Monument is located on Jl Jenderal Sudirman, hany located 200 meters south of Makassar city center (Field Karebosi).

Access to Location
Tourists can reach Mandala Monument by public transport, taxis, and delivery of hotel facilities. From downtown, Monument Mandala can be reached on foot or ride tricycles.

Entrance Fee
To enter and enjoy the view from a height, visitors subject to tariff Rp 10,000 per person. Normally the elevator will be operated if visitors come in in groups.
