Kayangan Island is a small island of white sand area of approximately 1 ha and administratively included in the Village of Bulo Ivory District Ujung Pandang, South Sulawesi, Makassar. The location is ± 0.8 km from Makassar City, not far from the Port and Soekarno-Hatta Makassar Fort Rotterdam the Dutch landscape in which there Lagaligo Museum, or can be taken 15 minutes away by boat ride 36 PK exclusively reserved for visitors. This island was once called Marrouw or Meraux.
Kayangan Island has several facilities such as lodging, resorts / lodging, entertainment stage, restaurant, multipurpose building, a playground for children, sport facilities, and bridge fishing. In other parts there are a number of aquariums that accommodates a wide range of ornamental fish species of sea water.
